Shared Inbox or a Courier Desk: What a Shop Actually Needs
Compare a chat inbox with a desk built for Bangladesh courier booking, and see where each one stops.

A shared inbox and a courier desk solve different hours of the same day. One collects the conversation. The other books the parcel. Buying only one of them leaves a gap your staff fills with copy and paste.
What a shared inbox does well
An inbox gathers Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp so two teammates do not reply to the same person. You can assign a chat, mark it unread, and keep the history when a buyer returns next week.
That is the right tool for support and for the first sales question. It is a weak tool for stock, delivery charge, and the booking payload a courier expects.
What a courier desk does well
A courier desk knows the consignment: name, phone, address, cash on delivery, and which fleet is carrying the parcel. Steadfast, Pathao, and the other national fleets each want that payload in their own shape.
The desk is the right tool after the buyer has already said yes. It does not read a product photo or remember that this customer asked about a different color yesterday.
Where the two should meet
The useful system starts in the chat and ends in a booked parcel. The product, the price, and the address are captured once. The order line is the same record the courier booking uses.
A shared inbox keeps one thread across channels. A courier desk does not. Matching a photo to a product is rare in an inbox and absent from a desk. Delivery charge follows your rules only when the catalog and the chat share one record. Booking after the buyer confirms belongs to the desk, and it should not require typing the phone number a second time.
If your team still exports a sheet at night to create parcels, the inbox and the desk are not connected. The comparison that matters is how many times a phone number is typed.
